A toy often evokes as much emotion in us as the characters and scenes in classic films. Like in TOY STORY, when Woody and Buzz Lightyear cross numerous obstacles and eventually become best friends. These toys in the world of cinema are not only the soul of their story, they also bring back countless of cherished memories and heartfelt moments.
This year's workshop at The Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival will be led by coaches from the social enterprise ANEWTOYS, where children will be able to get creative and turn scraps into recycled toys. By basking in the joy of sharing and creating, these moments will showcase the unique value of toys, rekindling everyone’s caring and cherishing for toys.
Date: Appointed Saturday and Sunday from July 29 to August 27 (Please refer to the registration link for exact dates)

Have you ever wondered how everything you see in the cinema came to be? The lights and shadows on the big screen, the buckets of golden popcorn, and the valuable movie tickets, are all the result of the cinema staff’s hard work.
This year, the Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival will allow children to become "cinema staff" for four weekends in a row, where they will be accompanied and guided through the mysteries of cinema.

A good music score can turn a film into a legend, and become engraved in the hearts of people. In the STAR WARS franchise, John Williams’ theme song, has become a musical classic, igniting passion and emotion in countless of fans. Cinematic music is the very soul essence of the plot and characters.
This year, The Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival has entrusted Addoilmusic to present a musical story time workshop for children and parents to create music together. Children will learn to express their emotions and thoughts through music by combining various instruments and sound effects. We believe this workshop will be a chance to explore how film and music play a vital role in our lives.
MUSICAL STORYTIME
For preschool children and their parents in a magical adventure of music and storytelling, encouraging them to use their imaginations to create their own unique sound effects using simple musical instruments.
Suitable for children aged 3 or above. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

MOVIE THEME SONG SING-ALONG
For primary school children and their parents to share and sing along to popular movie theme songs with simple musical instruments. Participant will even perform live to the audience, this is definitely a valuable experience
