Special Arrangements for Typhoons & Heavy Rainstorm Warnings
Weather conditions during summer can be unpredictable. To ensure a safe and smooth experience for all parents and children, please refer to the following arrangements and ticketing guidelines when Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) or the Black Rainstorm Warning is in force.💡 Please read below to view specific guidelines:
🎬 General Audience (Movie Screenings)
🌀 1. General Mechanism for Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm (2 Hours Prior)If Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) or a Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, or pre-announced to be issued by the Hong Kong Observatory within 2 hours prior to the screening:
❌ Screening Cancelled: Movie screenings during the affected period will be cancelled immediately.💡 Typhoon Arrangement Timetable Examples
❌ If Signal No. 8 is issued at or after 10:45 AM:The upcoming 1:30 PM movie screening will be cancelled.
⭕ If Signal No. 8 is lowered to Signal No. 3 or below at or before 12:45 PM:The 3:30 PM movie screening will proceed as scheduled.
❌ If Signal No. 8 is lowered AFTER 12:45 PM:The 3:30 PM movie screening will proceed as scheduled ONLY IF Signal No. 8 is lowered at or before 1:30 PM; otherwise, it will be cancelled.
❌ If Signal No. 8 is lowered AFTER 1:30 PM:All remaining movie screenings for the day will be cancelled.🌧️ 2. Sudden Issuance During Screenings (Black Rainstorm / T8)If a Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8 is issued within 30 minutes prior to or during a movie screening:
⭕ Proceed as Scheduled: As long as the cinema remains open, ongoing and upcoming movie screenings will proceed as scheduled. Audience members already at the venue are advised to stay indoors safely.

⚠️ Important Note: Except for official screening cancellations, sold movie tickets are strictly non-refundable.
