Special Arrangements for Typhoons & Heavy Rainstorm Warnings

Weather conditions during summer can be unpredictable. To ensure a safe and smooth experience for all parents and children, please refer to the following arrangements and ticketing guidelines when Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) or the Black Rainstorm Warning is in force.

🌀 1. General Mechanism for Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm (2 Hours Prior)
If Typhoon Signal No. 8 (or above) or a Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, or pre-announced to be issued within 2 hours prior to the activity:

❌ Activity Cancelled: The "Little Usher Workshop" and "Screening Room Guided Tour" during the affected period will be cancelled immediately.

💡 Typhoon Arrangement Timetable Examples

❌ If Signal No. 8 is issued at or after 10:45 AM: The upcoming 12:45 PM activity will be cancelled.

⭕ If Signal No. 8 is lowered at or before 12:45 PM: The 2:45 PM activity will proceed as scheduled.

❌ If Signal No. 8 is lowered AFTER 1:30 PM: All remaining activities for the day will be cancelled.

💡 Post-Cancellation Options (Choose One):

Makeup Session: We will arrange a makeup session as soon as possible and notify you via email; OR
Full Refund: Email [email protected] within 7 days from the cancellation date with your registered name, email, and contact number for processing.

🌧️ 2. Sudden Issuance During Activities (Black Rainstorm / T8)

If a Black Rainstorm Warning or Typhoon Signal No. 8 is issued within 30 minutes prior to or during an activity:

Special Arrangements(Conducted indoors; participants can choose ONE of the following options)

1️⃣ Proceed as Scheduled: If you have arrived safely at the cinema, ongoing and upcoming workshops and movie screenings will proceed as scheduled. OR

2️⃣ Full Refund: If you are unable to or choose not to attend, email [email protected] within 7 days (with your registered name, email, and phone number) to apply for a full refund.

🎬 "Screening Room Guided Tour" Special Arrangements
(Includes outdoor walking routes; if cancelled due to sudden Black Rainstorm/T8 after safe arrival at the cinema, participants can choose ONE option)

1️⃣ Watch Movie ＋ Attend Next Week's "Pure Screening Room Tour" Makeup: Stay to watch the movie and register for free to attend the makeup "Pure Screening Room Tour" next week (Note: The makeup session consists ONLY of the tour and does NOT include a movie screening).

2️⃣ Watch Movie ＋ Refund Guided Tour Fee (HK$110): Stay to watch the movie and email [email protected] within 7 days to process the partial refund (HK$110).

3️⃣ Full Refund: If you choose not to attend both the movie and guided tour, email [email protected] within 7 days to apply for a full refund.📌 About the "Pure Screening Room Tour" Makeup Session:If the tour is cancelled due to sudden Black Rainstorm/T8, a standalone makeup tour session will be arranged after the end of the second screening on the same day next week (tour only, without movie screening).(Example: If the session on July 25 is cancelled, the makeup session will be held on August 1 at 5:45 PM. Please register via email at [email protected] within 3 days or register on-site with KIFF staff.)
